Crowley’s Ridge Academy will add two new members to its Board of Trustees, the school has announced. Ashley (Braden, ‘99) Watson and Todd Sanders (‘07) will join the Board effective July 1.
Watson and Sanders will replace outgoing Board members Larry Brinkley (‘60) and Adam Eades, each of whom completed six-year terms on the Board.
Watson is a Rehab Liaison and Community Outreach Coordinator for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Jonesboro, positions she has held for 14 years. She graduated from Arkansas State University in 2005 with a BSN in Nursing.
She and her husband, Jeremy Watson (‘95), married in 2001 and live in Jonesboro. They have two daughters at CRA: Bailee (9th grade) and Chloe (4th grade). The Watson family has been active at CRA in several roles, and Ashley has served as an elementary basketball coach and volunteer school nurse among other projects at the school. She has been active in the community as a volunteer for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and the Community Health Education Foundation. The Watsons attend Hillcrest church of Christ in Paragould, where they have been members for 20 years.
Sanders is an Occupational Therapist and a professor at Arkansas State University. He graduated from Harding University in 2010, and earned his masters degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2014.
His wife, Angel, teaches second grade at CRA, and they have two children at the school: Sadie (1st grade) and Hollis (PALS preschool). Sanders’ parents and siblings also graduated from CRA.
The Sanders family attends Center Hill church of Christ in Paragould, where Todd serves as a deacon and the family is active in several ministries.
Founded in 1953, Crowley’s Ridge Academy (CRA) is a private Christian school located in Paragould, Arkansas. The school is affiliated with churches of Christ but welcomes students regardless of religious background. CRA is fully accredited by the Arkansas Non-Public School Accrediting Association and offers a rigorous college preparatory educational experience. CRA provides Christian education for preschool through 12th grade students from Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri.
