CRA Grandparents, we’d love for you to join us for this very special day! Please mark your calendars and prepare for a day that celebrates family, love, and the special role grandparents play in our lives.

9:45-11:00  K-6 Assembly (Students DO NOT need to arrive by 8:15 on Grandparents’ Day. They can come with their grandparents.)

11:00-11:45  K-6 Lunch & Collect Crafts

                      Games available for families who are attending both sessions

11:45-12:30 7-12 Lunch

12:30-1:20 7-12 Assembly

  • Grandparents with Grandkids in both elementary and junior high/high school, you are welcome to bring ALL of your grandchildren and stay for both sessions. Games will be available between sessions to pass the time as a family.

  • While we appreciate parents wanting to be involved, we kindly ask that Grandparents’ Day be reserved for grandparents figures only.

  • Grandparents may leave with their grandchildren after the festivities.

  • RSVP is not necessary.

  • We look forward to welcoming you and celebrating this wonderful occasion together! If your children's grandparents are unable to attend or are no longer living, you are welcome to invite another relative or close friend to accompany your children on this special day. We understand that Grandparents’ Day can be challenging for those who have recently lost a grandparent or for other reasons. In such cases, students will not be marked absent if they choose not to participate.

  • For students who still plan to attend school on Grandparents’ Day, but do not have a grandparent figure present, those students will report to the auditorium balcony upon arrival.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Traditionally, most students and grandparents dress nicely (church clothes) for Grandparents’ Day. However, feel free to come as you are!

  • If you have grandchildren in both groups, we invite you to bring all of your grandchildren and spend the day. If you prefer, you could also spend the morning with your younger grandchildren and the afternoon with your older grandchildren. The morning and afternoon assemblies will be unique from each other. Also, you are welcome to eat both brunch and lunch with us. During the break between sessions, we’ll have games available to pass the time as a family.

  • For the morning session, you’ll want to arrive in time to find a seat in the auditorium before 9:45 a.m. We plan to start promptly at that time.

    For the afternoon session, please arrive between no earlier than 11:45 am. You’ll go straight to the practice gym for lunch when you arrive. The assembly will begin at 12:30 pm.
